Editorial policy

How we research, rank and correct what we publish.

Our standards

Editorial independence comes first at Market Wise Guide. We set out to deliver accurate, unbiased and thorough information about the financial markets and the platforms that serve them.

Review and ranking criteria

We assess platforms against a rigorous set of data points, including:

  • Regulation and availability: we favour brokers regulated by top-tier authorities such as the FCA, ASIC or SEC, and we check availability by region.
  • Fees and spreads: we examine commission structures, spreads, inactivity fees and withdrawal costs.
  • Product range: access to stocks, ETFs, Forex, CFDs and options.
  • Platform tools: the performance of desktop and mobile apps, charting and execution speed.
  • Risk controls: negative balance protection, stop-loss tools and risk alerts.
  • Education and research: market news, webinars and analysis tools built into the platform.
  • User experience: how easy it is to open an account, the quality of support and the clarity of the design.

Correction process

We aim for total accuracy. When we find an error, we correct it straight away. Readers can flag inaccuracies at info@gomarketwiseguide.com.

As a publisher, we refresh our reviews regularly to track the industry. Providers change their terms often, so we always recommend confirming the details on the provider's own site.
